Jan 27 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

jnola website BBB 2018

Join JNOLA and Temple Sinai for a morning of “Bible, Brunch, and Booze” on Saturday, January 27. Meet us at the lovely home of Tracey & Michael Dodd for a laid back gathering to discuss this week’s Torah portion, Beshalach, that centers around the Exodus. Through the lens of why it’s relevant today, we’ll have an informal talk lead by Rabbi Matthew Reimer on how this book is about what it is to be a stranger in a familiar land.

Whether you’re a Sinai member, have never been there, are affiliated with a different synagogue, or are unaffiliated, this free brunch is open to the entire JNOLA community! Food and drinks will be provided. All you have to do is RSVP as space is limited.

LGBTQ Launch Party - slider WEB-01

The Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans has made a commitment to reach out to Louisiana’s Jewish LGBTQ individuals to provide socialization, advocacy, support/social services resources, and educational programming in conjunction with ongoing efforts in the community. We will be building a relationship with our local synagogues, agencies, and other LGBTQ organizations to support, partner-with, and promote LGBTQ-related programming and events.

Join us for our launch event on January 27 for a Krewe du Vieux viewing party right near the parade route at the home of one of our community members. We will have tasty snacks and drinks!
